Requirements

  • American Registry of Radiologists (ARRT) MR certification required within 2 years from date of hire.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • Non Degree Program from a approved AMA Radiologic Technology program or MRI certificate program. Required
  • 1 year experience as a Radiology Technologist Required
  • Reg Technologist (R) Required
  • Reg Technologist (MR) Required
  • Basic Life Support Required

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year experience in CT or MRI Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs MRI studies following set protocol established by the Radiologists.
  • Operates the MRI scanner to produce images of consistent optimal quality.
  • Prepares scan room and equipment as appropriate.
  • Positions patient, coils and equipment as required.
  • Maintains communication with the patient throughout the scanning procedure.
