About The Position

The MRI Tech performs complex diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures, as requested by a licensed physician. The MRI Tech produces high quality diagnostic images while providing excellent patient care.

Requirements

• MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of MRI
• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 6 months in Magnetic Resonance Imaging with supervised clinical experience
• Possesses working knowledge of cross section anatomy and MR pathology.
• REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiology or (ARMRIT) registry eligible according to ACR guidelines.
• Must be registered as a MR Technologist within one year post graduation of accredited school.
• If Registered with ARRT in ionizing radiation, must possess current Texas Medical Board (TMB) license.
• REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• PREFERRED EDUCATION: Associate degree in Allied Health or Bachelor's Degree and certification in another clinical imaging field
• PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 2-5 years in MRI
• PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: ARRT in MRI
