About The Position
Under the direction of the Director of Radiology and the Medical Director, the MRI Technologist is responsible for performing duties directly involving a variety of technical procedures applying to Magnetic Resonance Imaging. This position works at a technical level under limited supervision, independently performing MRI procedures. Procedures performed require independent judgment and initiative as well as a comprehensive understanding of MRI safety.
Requirements
- AMA approved program of Radiologic Technology ARRT & MRI Registered
- Previous experience in MRI in a hospital setting
- ARRT Registry required
- MRI Registry required
- Certified in CPR
- Venipuncture Certification required, can be obtained within 3 months of hire.
- Ability to transport patients as needed.
- Ability to work within a limited space and in bright and low lighted rooms such as the darkroom.
- Ability to write and file for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to perform tasks with require moderately difficult manual manipulations such as using a keyboard, must be able to perform tasks which require hand-eye coordination such a data entry, copying and developing films.
