Radiology Tech- MRI Technologist
About The Position
The VA Portland Health Care System (VISN 20 Northwest Health Network) is seeking three (3) full-time MRI Technologists to provide diagnostic imaging services on a locum tenens basis. This opportunity supports ongoing staffing needs within a high-volume VA medical center serving our nation’s veterans. Assignments may include work at the Portland campus or Vancouver campus. Contract Details Shifts may include: 8-hour shifts (5 days/week) 9-hour rotating shifts 10-hour shifts (4 days/week) Rotating weekends & holidays Overtime / On-Call / Call Back as needed
Requirements
- Current MRI Technologist certification and active licensure
- Experience in hospital or high-acuity imaging setting
- Ability to work independently
- Strong understanding of MRI safety protocols
- Ability to maintain compliance with VA credentialing and privileging requirements
Nice To Haves
- ARRT (MRI) certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic MRI imaging procedures
- Operate and monitor MRI equipment safely and effectively
- Ensure proper patient positioning and safety protocols
- Screen patients for MRI contraindications
