The MRI Technologist operates the Magnetic Resonance operations at SimonMed Imaging centers. This role involves operating a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies, selecting appropriate imaging techniques, and operating console and peripheral hardware. The technologist will also enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media to produce transparency, develop film, produce film records and backups, and transfer images to PACS stations. Maintaining accurate study documentation and performing a variety of tasks requiring creativity and latitude are also key. The position requires demonstrating competency in job-related skills appropriate to customer populations and departmental services while providing excellent customer service, utilizing equipment for a functional, effective, and safe environment, and adhering to departmental policies and procedures. Requirements

  • Registration as a MR Technologist by the A.R.R.T. or ARMRIT
  • CPR certification

Responsibilities

  • Operates the Magnetic Resonance operations at SimonMed Imaging centers
