About The Position
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to independently perform MRI exams, producing high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with MRI protocols and safety standards.
Requirements
- Strong MRI technical skills, patient positioning, and equipment operation
- Knowledge of medical terminology, sterile technique, and isolation precautions
- Ability to work independently with strong communication skills
- ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT Certification
- Active Ohio Radiographer License
- BLS (AHA)
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 2 years of MRI or related imaging experience
Responsibilities
- Verify patient identity and review physician orders
- Obtain patient history, complete MRI safety screening, and explain procedures
- Prepare and position patients; screen for MRI contraindications
- Perform venipuncture and administer contrast per protocol
- Operate MRI equipment, coils, and accessories to obtain diagnostic-quality images
- Monitor patients during exams and respond to emergencies or adverse reactions
- Ensure accurate documentation, labeling, and medication reconciliation
- Maintain MRI safety, infection control, and National Patient Safety standards
- Assist across modalities as needed (IV starts, patient prep)
- Follow emergency and safe patient-handling procedures
