About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to operate specialized MRI equipment and perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures. The technologist will apply technical expertise and sound judgment to produce diagnostic-quality images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to imaging protocols.

Requirements

Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved Radiologic Technology program
New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology
ARRT MRI Registry (ARRT-MR)
BCLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, and MRI physics
Excellent technical skills and strong patient care abilities

Nice To Haves

Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
Experience working with GE MRI systems
IV Certification preferred

Responsibilities

Perform MRI imaging procedures according to established protocols
Properly position patients and coils to obtain optimal diagnostic images
Educate patients about MRI procedures, preparation, and safety requirements
Review MRI safety questionnaires prior to patient entry into the scan room
Ensure MRI images are accurately labeled and transmitted to PACS in a timely manner
Evaluate images for technical quality and diagnostic acceptability
Complete and document imaging studies in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
Maintain cleanliness and organization of MRI rooms and equipment
Maintain necessary supplies and accessories for imaging procedures
Accurately record patient tracking information in the system
Assist physicians during imaging procedures when required
Follow MRI safety standards to prevent ferromagnetic hazards in the scan environment
Adhere to infection control policies and safety guidelines
Report equipment issues or unsafe conditions to supervisors
Perform clerical tasks when needed and attend required training or in-service sessions
