Requirements

  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT-MR) certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); or MRI Technologist certification by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT

Responsibilities

  • Articulate a precise understanding of how data flows in and out of the modality work area.
  • Be attentive to patient satisfaction results and collaborate with the management team on ways to improve the department and the facility overall.
  • Seek ways to improve systems and services.
  • Demonstrate ability to meet and sustain departmental expectations for MRI staff while ethically completing work assignments.
  • Maintain integrity of equipment with careful manipulation at all times.
  • Adhere to MRI safety regulations and standards.
  • Understand the level of authority to grant access to the MRI area.
  • Assist the Medical Physicist in performing quality assurance testing as needed.
  • Demonstrate a sustained ability when interacting with patients to follow the AIDET principles (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Expectation, and Thank You).
  • Ensure confidentiality of all patient information is maintained.
  • Maintain current certifications and licensure status.
  • Understand time clock expectations and adhere to attendance and punctuality guidelines.
  • May complete unit/department-specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.
