Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists, also referred to as MRI Technologists, utilize magnetic resonance imaging scanners to capture specific images ordered by a physician to aid in patient diagnosis. MRI Technologists must be able to closely follow a physician's instructions, prepare and operate MRI equipment, position patients correctly, and effectively record the requested diagnostic images. Here, you will be joining a close-knit, hardworking, and supportive team of caregivers that prioritizes quality patient care. A caregiver in this position works varying shifts between 7:00AM – 10:00PM.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within one year of hire
  • Knowledge of Federal and State regulatories

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of experience as an Imaging Technologist in an acute care imaging setting

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with department leadership to develop and implement methods to achieve established goals and objectives for the department.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and economical operation.
  • Coordinate and answers questions regarding scheduling, networking, informatics, and patient information.
  • Complete and ensure that all electronic data is sent to its appropriate destination.
  • Inspect equipment to ensure proper orientation, contacts service if necessary.
  • Provide copies of imaging studies in a timely manner.
  • Perform routine imaging, emergent, invasive and all special procedures according to the policy/protocol manual and written orders.
  • Maintain adequate supplies in the work area with items necessary to perform the daily schedule.
  • Orient new personnel and assist in their transition to the work environment as assigned.
  • Aid other associates in the department upon completion of duties or as assigned by a supervisor.
