Requirements

Prior MRI scanning experience.
MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications.
Fantastic interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

ARMRIT certification accepted at some locations.

Responsibilities

Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times, including those issued by Shields or partnering hospital groups.
Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.
Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
Perform scan in accordance to center’s protocol.
Administer intravenous contrast.
Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam.
Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.
Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.
Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.
Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.
Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.
Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.
