About The Position
The Imaging Department MRI Technologist works under general direction of the Lead MRI Technologist performs MRI exams and related activities.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- graduation from an A.R.R.T. accredited school of X-Ray Technology
- A.R.R.T. registration in radiography
- current Mississippi State Board of Health registration as a Medical Radiation Technologist
- CPR for health care workers
- ability to work independently and with limited supervision
- ability to work in a highly magnetic field
- stand/walk, bend, stoop, twist, assist patients in turning, assist patients in arising from exam table, push wheelchair/stretcher patients, assist patients in arising and returning to wheelchair and/or stretchers
Nice To Haves
- One to three years experience performing MRI and/or three to five years experience performing CT scans
- strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
- A.R.R.T. certification in MRI
