About The Position

Cancer Specialists of North Florida is recruiting for an experienced MRI Technologist for our busy Imaging Department. The MRI Technologist works under the general direction of the PET/CT Manager with the clinical supervision of the reading physician, and performs examinations of patients of all ages for the purpose of assisting in the diagnosis of patients’ illnesses. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Certification through an accredited Radiology Program.
  • Two (2) to Five (5) years of MRI experience required
  • Registered with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, and/or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.
  • Current ARRT(MR) certified or eligible technologist

Responsibilities

  • Performs ordered MRI examinations of appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the individual site reading physician
  • Maintains patient care, comfort, and safety during the transport to and from the mobile coach/facility, and during the exam
  • Maintains technical competency through continued education and participation in company sponsored training programs
  • Under guidance and approval of supervising physician, administers contrast agents according to site-specific protocols
  • Completes and signs the patient screening form and reviews/explains the procedure to the patient
  • Provides images to the radiologist in the desired format
  • Performs equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems. Calls for service and notifies all pertinent team members
  • If applicable, assists with the set up and/or shut down of equipment in accordance with CSNF and/or manufacturers’ guidelines
  • Maintains a clean environment inside and outside of the mobile coach/facility
  • Completes necessary administrative tasks (i.e. EMR charges, QA, Imaging Assessments)
  • Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality
  • Cooperates with facility healthcare professionals and complies with facility policies/procedures
  • Maintains current permits to practice
  • All other duties as assigned
