Requirements

• Registration as a MR Technologist by the A.R.R.T. or ARMRIT
• CPR certification
• 1 year in fast paced MRI environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Magnetic Resonance operations at SimonMed Imaging centers.
• Knowledge of magnetic resonance imaging procedures and technology.
• Operate a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.
• Select appropriate imaging techniques, and operate console and peripheral hardware; enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develop film in automatic processor.
• Obtain images, produce film records and backups from disk to storage media, and transfer from desk to PACS stations.
• Maintain accurate study documentation.
• Perform a variety of tasks requiring a certain degree of creativity and latitude.
• Demonstrate competency in the performance of job-related skills appropriate to customer populations and departmental services while providing excellent customer service.
• Utilize and operate equipment and mechanical devices which provide for a functional, effective, and safe environment.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, guidelines relative to departmental operations.
