About The Position

Shields Health has an exciting opportunity for a MRI Technologist to work in a dynamic environment with a commitment to excellence. The MRI Technologist will provide a professional, caring atmosphere to all customer groups while maintaining a fast-paced, multi-tasked oriented clinical environment. The role involves following proper policies and procedures to ensure patient safety, informing patients about their exams, and performing scans in accordance with the center’s protocol. The position requires collaboration with world-renowned healthcare providers and offers opportunities for professional growth.

Requirements

• Prior MRI scanning experience.
• MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications.
• Fantastic interpersonal skills.
• ARMRIT certification accepted at some locations.
• Ability to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time.
• Ability to assist patients with mobility difficulties.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
• Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
• Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
• Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.
• Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
• Perform scan in accordance to center’s protocol.
• Administer intravenous contrast.
• Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam.
• Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.
• Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.
• Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.
• Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.
• Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.
• Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.
• Participate in call rotation if required.
