This Work on Weekend (WOW) position is an every weekend commitment on night shift at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Hours are Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7:00p - 7:30a. This weekend commitment comes with an additional premium weekend, night shift differential.

Requirements

• BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or equivalent NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) is acceptable.
• Must possess good organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI equipment, including the magnet, injectors, independent consoles, physiological patient monitors, and cardiac gating/monitoring equipment.
• Uses equipment to properly adjust pulse sequences according to body part and diagnosis.
• Demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
• Performs daily safety and quality control checks for the system.
• Sends images to PACS for interpretation.
• Transfers images to independent console for further manipulation.
• Reformats and performs post processing of images for radiologist interpretation.
• Administers MRI contrast agents.
