About The Position

This position involves performing a wide variety of technical procedures with quality patient care, assisting Physicians as needed. The role is located in the MRI department at Sharp Rees-Stealy Mira Mesa and may require floating to other MRI locations. The job type is Per Diem with variable shifts, and it is eligible for PM and Night Shift Differentials.

Requirements

• Satisfactory completion of formal training program in an AMA approved school.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - REQUIRED.
• Venipuncture Certification - REQUIRED.
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging Certification (MR)(ARRT) or ARMRIT Certification - REQUIRED.

Nice To Haves

• 1 Year dedicated MRI experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of technical procedures with quality patient care.
• Assist Physicians as needed during procedures.
• Communicate pertinent system issues to the Lead/Supervisor/PACS Manager/Systems Analyst or vendor.
• Maintain department regulatory requirements and verify physician orders.
• Accurately complete exams in RIS in real-time.
• Ensure all exams have been completed in RIS and confirm images are sent to PACS.
• Complete no show charge slips for accuracy and submit for billing.
• Demonstrate ability to make timely, accurate, and safe decisions regarding patients.
• Provide pre and post procedure education and reassurance to patients and families.
• Maintain AM/PM temperature logs and perform daily QC as required by ACR standards.
• Assist Radiologist in procedures while practicing sterile techniques.
