About The Position

The MRI Technologist position at Texas Health HEB involves performing MRI imaging procedures in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This PRN role requires flexibility in working hours, including rotating shifts and on-call duties, to support the Radiology department's operations. The technologist will be responsible for patient care, equipment operation, and maintaining professional standards in imaging practices.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology required.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• 1 year medical imaging experience required.
• 1 year MRI experience preferred.
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required prior to providing independent patient care.
• ARRT or ARMRIT certification required upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• Recent hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Explains procedures to patients or guardians prior to exams.
• Positions patients to the correct anatomical area of interest.
• Uses multidisciplinary, team-oriented actions for patient care.
• Assesses and recognizes the patient's emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive, and psychosocial conditions.
• Adjusts technical factors for imaging procedures.
• Operates, cares for, and maintains MRI equipment.
• Maintains and enhances technical skills and technology advancement.
• Performs any assignment deemed necessary by the supervisor.
