About The Position

The MRI Technologist at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is responsible for performing MRI scans as ordered by physicians, utilizing high field magnetic energy for diagnostic purposes. This role involves adhering to the policies and protocols of the Radiology Department and may require performing various MR and MRA exams based on the assigned location. The technologist will also manage clerical processes using the Radiology Information System (RIS) and the Patient Archiving System (PACS).

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a program approved by the credentialing body for the required associated license(s).
• ARRT-MR certification required for Radiologic Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association required.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum 1 year MRI or CT experience preferred.
• PACS and RIS experience preferred.
• Bi-lingual or multi-lingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize MRI equipment to perform diagnostic imaging as per physician orders.
• Adhere to the policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Radiology Department.
• Complete clerical processes using the designated Radiology Information System (RIS).
• Manage patient imaging records using the Patient Archiving System (PACS).
• May be assigned to perform other technical or non-technical duties as deemed appropriate by the supervisor.
