Requirements

Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology
2 years of post-graduate related experience
Current registration with ARRT with advanced certification in MRI
If not MRI registered, you will be required to obtain MRI certification within 12 months of hire, or will be released from the position
Current BLS Certification upon hire

Responsibilities

Complete MRI and General Radiology examinations while ensuring a high level of quality patient care.
Interview patients and review charts to obtain a complete history and evaluate labs before contrast injections.
Evaluate patients for contra indicators and assist the radiologist as needed.
Scan patients with appropriate equipment and perform the correct ordered exam.
Be capable of taking plain film x-rays and transporting patients to and from the department.
Participate in the PI plan and promote teamwork within the department and hospital.
Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, and treatment of patients.
Be capable of starting IVs and ensuring IV patience with the appropriate gauge for injection rate.
Operate Meditech, Synapse, Tele-Radiology system, CD Burner, Power Injector, and GE workstation.
Follow all facility-endorsed risk mitigation strategies for handling hazardous medications.
