Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology
  • 2 years of post-graduate related experience
  • Current registration with ARRT with advanced certification in MRI
  • If not MRI registered, you will be required to obtain MRI certification within 12 months of hire, or will be released from the position
  • Current BLS Certification upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Complete MRI and General Radiology examinations while ensuring a high level of quality patient care.
  • Interview patients and review charts to obtain a complete history and evaluate labs before contrast injections.
  • Evaluate patients for contra indicators and assist the radiologist as needed.
  • Scan patients with appropriate equipment and perform the correct ordered exam.
  • Be capable of taking plain film x-rays and transporting patients to and from the department.
  • Participate in the PI plan and promote teamwork within the department and hospital.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, and treatment of patients.
  • Be capable of starting IVs and ensuring IV patience with the appropriate gauge for injection rate.
  • Operate Meditech, Synapse, Tele-Radiology system, CD Burner, Power Injector, and GE workstation.
  • Follow all facility-endorsed risk mitigation strategies for handling hazardous medications.
