About The Position

Reporting directly to the MRI Section Leader, the MRI Technologist performs a variety of MRI imaging procedures and is responsible for patient care and safety in the MRI environment. Interacts with the Radiologist and patients to ensure successful accomplishment of MRI imaging. Participates in QA activities.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in an Allied Health Field
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
• Two years as a medical imaging technologist preferred
• Current registration as an imaging technologist required
• Must obtain MRI registration through ARRT within one year of hire as MRI technologist
• BLS healthcare provider required
• Proficient IV skills
• Proficient in MR safety
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Computer proficient including PACS and HIS/RIS
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Ability to maintain confidential information required

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of MRI imaging procedures
• Ensure patient care and safety in the MRI environment
• Interact with Radiologists and patients for successful MRI imaging
• Participate in QA activities
