About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join a dynamic radiology team at a leading teaching hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. The MRI Tech will perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures for patients across all age groups while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate imaging results. The ideal candidate will have experience performing MRI procedures, administering contrast media, and working in both acute care and outpatient imaging environments.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience
• Experience in acute care and outpatient imaging settings
• Ability to image patients across all age groups (neonate through geriatric)
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC charting experience
• Experience with contrast administration and peripheral IV insertion
• ARRT Certification (MRI or Radiologic Technology with MRI competency)
• SCQRSA License (South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association)
• BLS – Basic Life Support

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Conduct diagnostic imaging including chest, abdomen, pelvis, head, spine, and musculoskeletal trauma studies with and without contrast.
• Administer contrast media and initiate peripheral IV lines when required.
• Maintain high-quality images and accurate documentation using EPIC EMR and PACS systems.
• Follow infection control and isolation protocols.
• Ensure proper operation and basic maintenance of MRI equipment (Philips, Siemens, Toshiba, GE).
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and clinical staff to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.
• Float to other units or campuses as needed within scope of competency.
