The position is located at 10 Miracle Mile Dr, Rochester, New York, and is a part-time role with scheduled weekly hours of 24. The work shift is during the day on weekends, specifically Saturday and Sunday from 6:30 AM to 7 PM, and qualifies for a weekend bonus and premium.

Requirements

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology required.
• Current NYS licensure as a Certified Radiologic Technologist upon hire required.
• ARRT Radiography Certification with CE credits upon hire required.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and utilizes all MRI equipment including imaging coils, patient monitoring systems, and related articles.
• Evaluates image quality by troubleshooting scanner or coil problems and scan parameters.
• Identifies and compensates for imaging artifacts.
• Reviews MRI registration and screening form thoroughly to confirm safe access into the magnet room.
• Assists in training new MRI technologists and students.
• Performs all filming, archiving, and PACS network data management for each patient scanned.
• Retrieves old MRI data for restoration and filming or networking.
• Masters new techniques with each subsequent scanner upgrade.
• Communicates all pertinent patient information to necessary staff.
• Receives training and regular supervision from more senior technologists.
• Responsible for scanning patients in a safe and efficient manner, completing all associated paper and computer work, and discharging the patient from the MRI department with appropriate post MRI instructions.
