About The Position

Position Highlights: SIGN-ON BONUS: $10,000 Position: MRI Technologist III Location: Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights, IL Floating Locations: Buffalo Grove, Kildeer, Mount Prospect, & Schaumburg Full Time, 40 hours weekly Hours: 5:30am - 2:00pm and 6:00am - 2:00pm, rotating weekends, on-call schedule and holidays What you will do: Performs all established MRI imaging procedures; selects proper technique protocols. Prepares and positions patients for MRI procedures; uses immobilization devices, as required. Processes and develops images per established procedures. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to assess, treat, and care for all age groups of patients (neonatal through geriatric); implements assessment/treatment/care based on the developmental stages of the patient. Involves family/guardian in plan of care and conducts patient and family education, as appropriate, considering the developmental needs of the patient. Performs established calibration and quality control procedures to assure optimal quality of MRI equipment and service; notifies supervisor of unusual findings. Participates in maintaining appropriate patient and operational records consistent with the main Radiology Department.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or higher in allied health field required.
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists) registered as an MR technologist required
  • Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association required.
  • Minimum 6 months supervised MRI experience required.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the correct use of body mechanics.
