  • ARRT_American Registry of Radiology Tech (ARRT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
  • BLS American Heart RQI E-Card (BLS AHA-RQI ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
  • BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
  • BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential (GRACE)
  • BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross (RED CROSS)
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
  • Registered as a Technologist (RT), (RTT) or (NMTCB) and registered in magnetic resonance imaging (MR) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Registered as a Technologist (ARMRIT) - Advance Registry MRI Technologist.
  • Two (2) years of MRI Technologist experience.

Responsibilities

  • Charges appropriately for all supplies used for procedures.
  • When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
  • Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Performs Quality Assurance Testing on Imaging and related equipment.
  • Precepts students or new hires.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate imaging parameters.
  • Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
  • Performs independently core MR Protocols, complex Neuro cases and anesthesia cases.
  • Provides feedback as a Peer for Performance Evaluations.
  • Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure.
  • Enters, transmits and reports scan results.
  • Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
  • Serves as a Resource for staff members in partnership with the clinical educator.
