About The Position
MRI Technologist II Position Highlights: Sign on Bonus: $10,000 Position: MRI Technologist II Location: Skokie Hospital Full Time/Part Time: Full time Hours: M-F 2:30-11pm, rotating weekends Required Travel: no What you will do: Perform MRI exams for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illness and/or injury, in accordance with departmental standards, policies and procedures Prepare patients for exam: obtain and record history, explain procedures, position patients and ensure their comfort Review MRI images to ensure optimum quality Assist with patient/family participation in post-procedural care for all age groups and provide resource information, as directed
Requirements
- Certification or Associate’s degree in Radiology from an accredited program
- CPR required
- ARRT- MR or ARMRIT
- IEMA (not required)
- Previous MRI Technologist experience required
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills required
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI exams for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illness and/or injury, in accordance with departmental standards, policies and procedures
- Prepare patients for exam: obtain and record history, explain procedures, position patients and ensure their comfort
- Review MRI images to ensure optimum quality
- Assist with patient/family participation in post-procedural care for all age groups and provide resource information, as directed
