About The Position

The MRI Technologist II operates MRI equipment to obtain images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies, according to Radiologist's directions and established procedures. The position requires the technologist to position patients, administer injections of contrast media, and manipulate images to ensure a high-quality exam. The technologist is also responsible for delivering and ensuring customer service in all aspects of the job, being attentive to eye contact, facial/body expressions, and tone of voice. Additionally, the technologist explains procedures to patients, giving them the opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• A minimum of an Associate’s Degree or higher, preferred.
• Previous MRI experience, required.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems related to the software.
• Advanced techniques including cardiac and functional neuro protocols, preferred.
• Must be a candidate for ARRT(R) or ARMRIT certification.
• Current CPR certification (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
