As an MRI Technologist, you will perform MRI exams and procedures on patients of all ages while always maintaining patient safety. You will be joining a close-knit, hardworking, and supportive team of caregivers that prioritizes quality patient care. A caregiver in this position works varying shifts, 8:30am—7:00pm or 10:00am—8:30pm.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT.
  • American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA).
  • American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) needs to obtain within 12 months of hire.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State regulatory.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of experience as an Imaging Technologist in an acute care imaging setting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and validate the patient screening safety form.
  • Educate patients regarding MRI procedures while ensuring patients’ comfort and safety during and after the exam.
  • Maintain equipment and report any current or malfunctions with equipment immediately.
  • Collaborate with department leadership to develop and implement methods to achieve established goals and objectives for the department.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and economical operation.
  • Coordinates and answers questions regarding scheduling, networking, informatics, and patient information.
  • Complete and ensure that all electronic data is sent to its appropriate destination.
  • Inspects equipment to ensure proper orientation, contacts service if necessary.
  • Provide copies of imaging studies in a timely manner.
  • Perform routine imaging, emergent, invasive, and all special procedures according to the policy/protocol manual and written orders.
  • Maintain adequate supplies in the work area with items necessary to perform the daily schedule.
  • Orient new personnel and assist in their transition to the work environment as assigned.
  • Aid other associates in the department upon completion of duties or as assigned by a supervisor.
