About The Position

The MRI Tech will independently perform magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) utilizing proper techniques and administration of contrast media. This role requires working under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture. The MRI Tech will coordinate patient flow and the activities of the MRI scanner, ensuring MRI safe practices are followed. Professional judgment is essential in maintaining equipment in good working condition, and the role may involve performing procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs. On-call responsibilities may also be required.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Allied Health.
• Completion of Medical Imaging Sciences with additional MRI physics coursework or completed within 6 months of hire.
• ARRT RT (R) registry or ARMRIT registry required.
• No prior job-related work experience required.

Nice To Haves

• One year MRI experience preferred.

Responsibilities
