Under general supervision of the Manager of MRI and under the direction of a Radiologist, can perform diagnostic MRI/MRA on pediatric, adult and geriatric patients on designated areas of the body as requested by a physician.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an Accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• Upholds standards set by the ARRT regarding diagnostic procedures and professional ethics.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or Bachelor of Science Degree in Advanced Level Certification in MRI.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience in MRI setting preferred.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Must maintain a professional manner and appearance.
• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Must be self-motivated and have ability to work in a healthcare setting.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must have basic skills and knowledge necessary to perform venipuncture.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes all their technical skills and training to ensure the safe and accurate operation of the MRI scanner including the screening of all patients and visitors.
• Evaluates MRI scans for technical quality under minimal supervision.
• Must project an image of professionalism in conduct, appearance, communication and teamwork.
• Participates in the continuous quality improvement process of the department.
• Participates in hospital wide compliance assessments.
• Will be required to take call and rotate to both MRI sites.
• Performs other related duties as required.
