About The Position

Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department, such as evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, progress reports, etc. Maintains records of examination data and other pertinent information on patients. Assists physician in administering medicines as required. Performs venipuncture as needed. Transports MRI patients as needed. Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations. Assist in ordering and keeping room stocked with needed supplies and linens. Enhances professional growth through participation in educational programs, current literature, Inservice meetings and workshops. Performs all MRI exams. Transfers images to PAC's from MRI Scanner in a timely manner. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

  • MRI courses required
  • Maintains current Registry and State License.
  • RT(R)(MR)
  • Must demonstrate ability to recognize patients' individual needs based on medical conditions, age, limitations and planned procedures.
  • Current BLS

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree or graduate of a radiologic technology program preferred.
  • Sufficient previous experience to have thorough knowledge of radiologic and MRI terminology, practices and procedures preferred, along with knowledge in physiology and human anatomy and MRI experience.
