1- Clinical skills Exhibits working knowledge of all MRI equipment and procedures. Refers to physician's orders/chart for any special instructions that may be indicated. Routinely questions the patient before procedure to obtain patient history. Explains procedure completely to facilitate cooperation and alleviate anxiety. Performs all procedures in an efficient and timely manner without compromising quality or the mission statement. Coordinates MRI schedule with other areas to prevent patient waiting. 2- Patient/General Safety Corrects and reports accidents, incidents and safety hazards. Uses PPE (personal protective equipment) when appropriate. Is aware of potential chemical hazards and how to access MSDS information. Uses good body mechanics when moving patients. Adheres to infection control practices. 3- Equipment Maintenance Reports all equipment problems to chief technologist and places service call through call center. 4- Documentation/Communication Complete Exam Data Entry fields on all exams Documents all pertinent information, i.e., patient history, tech initials, 5- Other duties as assigned. Is available to work a rotating on-call schedule to ensure 24-hour coverage of the MRI Department Assist in other areas of the department as workload permits. Keeps areas well stocked at all times. Consistently performs 12 organizational Service Standards focused on Values, Service, and Quality.
