More about our team Radiology/Imaging Services unit provides high-quality diagnostic and interventional imaging services, including wide range of medical imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and other imaging techniques to diagnose and treat various medical conditions. Valuing and ensuring patient care, patient comfort, safety, and adherence to imaging protocols are paramount while collaborating with healthcare professionals, quality control, and the adoption of new technologies while maintaining quality control measures for equipment and processes, adhering to strict safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards are key functions. How you’ll contribute An MRI Technician who excels in this role:

Requirements

  • Applicants should be a Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology or MRI Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • 1 year of hospital medical imaging experience
  • 1 year MRI experience
  • ARRT RT (MR) or ARRT RT(R) and MRI Board Certified within 1 year of date of hire
  • CPR Certification
  • ARRT MRI Board Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of the ARRT or ARMRIT required education necessary for certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a respectful demeanor to patients, family members, fellow employees and physicians.
  • Completes annual MRI Safety Training.
  • Positions, transfers and properly immobilizes patients as required.
  • Performs MRI Safety screening procedures on all patients before entering the scan room.
  • Includes screening for any metal objects/previous work with metal and surgeries that impact scan.
  • Prepare patient for I.V. Injections (starting heplocks) and injects patients with butterfly.
  • Performs quality control on the MRI unit (Daily and weekly QA).
  • Performs MRI scanning procedures.
  • Performs filming, reconstruction of proper images, posts processing of MRA images.
  • Maintains professional skills and provides age-specific care to patients of all ages (neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics).
  • Follows safety procedures and guidelines and reports unsafe practices and conditions.
  • Consistently and appropriately follows Universal Precautions.
