About The Position
Job Summary The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality MRI exams in a timely manner while maintaining a strong understanding of MRI safety protocols, including those related to research workflows. They interact positively with multiple patient populations and serve as a member of the interdisciplinary patient care team. Flexibility is essential, as the position may require on-call availability and holiday coverage. Performs other duties as assigned. Essential Functions • Perform MRI Examinations• Ensure Patient Safety and Comfort• Administration of Contrast Media• Maintain MRI Equipment and Safety Standards• Collaboration with multi-disciplinary health care team• Document and Manage Patient Information• Research of Implantable Devices for MRI Compatibility• Adhere to Compliance and Regulatory Standards• Assist with Workflow and Operational Efficiency
Requirements
- Graduate from ARRT accredited MRI educational program OR Graduate from ARMRIT accredited MRI education program
- One year of MRI experience preferred.
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT at hire (Preferred)ORARRT in one of these Radiography (R)/Nuclear Medicine (N)/Radiation Therapy (T)/ Sonography (S) required and get ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT within 24 months of hire date
- Current BLS Required
- Proficient in operating an MRI scanner and adjusting imaging parameters
- Well-versed and compliant in MRI safety and understands research workflow for MRI safety requirements
- Patient positioning & comfort while ensuring patient safety
