About The Position

As an MRI Technologist, you will be a central figure in our diagnostic imaging team, expertly performing high-quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scans to produce precise images critical for patient diagnosis and treatment planning. Every day, you will meticulously position patients, operate advanced MRI scanning equipment according to physician orders and established protocols, and administer contrast media safely and effectively. You will also provide essential patient education and psychological support, monitor patient conditions closely during scans, maintain meticulous records, and perform daily quality assurance checks on equipment, all while strictly adhering to crucial MRI safety guidelines and regulatory standards. To be successful in this role, you will combine a nationally recognized certification/licensure in Radiologic Technology (ARRT), specialized advanced certification in MRI, and a profound understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and MRI physics. Demonstrates adherence to the Standards of Conduct Requirements. Completes and turns in the SOC acknowledgement card Fulfills compliance education requirements as directed by the Compliance department or department management "The Integrity Program: Standards of Conduct-a guide to compliance and ethics" Demonstrates competency in department-specific Customer Service Standards. Complies with hospital/departmental policy and procedures, and adheres to the code of ethics and conduct of The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Understands and adheres to procedure orders requirements to include: verifying orders in the medical chart, prescriptions, and verifying patient's identification. Meets annual competency requirement prior to evaluation date. Communicates effectively with physicians, ancillary areas, and internal staff. Demonstrates the capacity to evaluate, coordinate, and execute responsibilities under pressure situations. Has the initiative to resolve customer problems by self, and involves supervisors as necessary.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an approved school for MRI.
  • Certification with Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging by the American Registry of RadiologicTechnology (RTMR) or the AmericanRegistry of Magnetic Resonance ImagingTechnologists (ARMRIT) is required.
  • Two (2) years as an MRI technologist in afull service Radiology/MRI Department.
  • Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging or Registered Technologist Computed Tomography or Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT
  • AHA Basic Life Support - CPR
  • Fire Safety, within 90 Days
