About The Position
The MRI Technologist performs complex diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures, as requested by a licensed physician. The MRI Tech produces high quality diagnostic images while providing excellent patient care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of MRI
- 6 months in Magnetic Resonance Imaging with supervised clinical experience.
- Possesses working knowledge of cross section anatomy and MR pathology.
- Possession of American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiology or (ARMRIT) registry eligible according to ACR guidelines.
- Must be registered as a MR Technologist within one year post graduation of accredited school.
- If Registered with ARRT in ionizing radiation, must possess current Texas Medical Board (TMB) license.
- Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree in Allied Health or bachelor's degree and certification in another clinical imaging field
- 2-5 years in MRI
- ARRT in MRI
