Position Summary The MRI Technologist is responsible for operating MRI scanning equipment and to ensure that everyone that enters the MRI scan room is MRI safe. The MRI Technologists produces the images used by the Radiologists. The technologist orients the patient and family to the scan procedure and physically prepares and processes the patient through the study. The technologist communicates procedural information to the Radiologist. The technologist prepares and assesses image quality and presents completed images to the Radiologist.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • ARRT certification as a radiologic technologist, required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required.

Nice To Haves

  • AA+ degree with field of study in one of the following\: chemical, physical, biological science, or medical laboratory technology; preferred.
  • Prior radiology experience, preferred.
