About the Role: As an MRI Technologist, you will perform state-of-the-art Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures, generating high-quality three-dimensional images of tissue, organs, and other body parts. Your meticulous work will be crucial for radiologists in detecting abnormalities, making precise diagnoses, and guiding effective treatment plans, directly contributing to exceptional patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Current Basic or Advanced Life Support (BLS) certification, required.
  • Active registration as an MRI Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-MR) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), required.
  • Current or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required.
  • Proven experience as an MRI Technologist, demonstrating expertise in patient care and imaging procedures.
  • Ability to safely lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others to perform job functions.
  • A strong commitment to patient safety and quality service, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Operate sophisticated MRI scanners, select optimal imaging techniques, and ensure the highest technical quality of scans for accurate diagnostic results.
  • Provide compassionate and personalized care, preparing patients for MRI exams, clearly explaining procedures, administering contrast when necessary, and expertly positioning them for imaging.
  • Perform thorough quality assurance on MRI equipment and matrix camera, actively supporting accreditation efforts.
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors, adhering strictly to institutional policies and service standards.
  • Accurately enter and monitor patient data, respond effectively to emergency calls, and proactively identify/report any equipment malfunctions.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and excellence, meeting all requirements for mandatory/continuing education.
  • Embrace opportunities to serve as a preceptor, mentor, and resource for less experienced staff.
