Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Completion of an AMA school of radiologic technology
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
Achieve ARRT registry in MRI within 18 months of hire
Knowledge and ability to operate all equipment and perform all MRI procedures as normally required in these areas

2 to 3 years as a diagnostic technologist

Responsibilities

Performs MRI procedures in order to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease
Functions under the direction of the Imaging Department Director (or designee), the MRI supervisor and in cooperation with the radiologists
Subject to overtime and call back as required by the hospital
