The Technologist Trainee learns the safety, customer service skills, documentation and operation of Radiology through on-the job training under the direction of a registered technologist. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Successful completion of a Radiology School.
• Certificate from College or Technical School.
• Certified by ARRT, ARMRIT, NMTCB or ARDMS.
• Continuing education of the structure component to the Radiology exam.
• State issued Radiologic Technologist License, if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Valid state driver’s license, if applicable.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• 5% Travel may be required.
• The COVID-19 vaccination is/may be a condition of employment.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's Degree.
• Certificate from College or Technical School.
• Completion of a Radiology Program.
• Successfully demonstrate proficiency running advanced Radiology studies independently.
• Possession of venipuncture certification, or ability to secure within 3 months, if required by customer/contract.

Responsibilities

• Conducts pre-screening of all personnel before entering the magnet room to ensure their safety.
• Scans and documents patients under the direction of a registered technologist to meet all customer (if applicable) and Akumin requirements.
• Completes necessary documentation for patient files to ensure all customer, Akumin policy and Joint Commission requirements are met.
• Other job duties as needed.
