About The Position

Under the direction of the radiologist, provides MRI services to patient for diagnosis. Closely follows physician's instructions, appropriately positions patients, prepares and operates equipment, and accurately records the images requested. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 0. Requirements

• Associates degree in allied health, applied/radiologic science or certificate program is required.
• 1 year of Radiology Technology experience preferred.
• Certification or registry eligible as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) or a Registered Technologist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (R.T.(MR)) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Certification or registry eligible as a Registered Technologist by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
• Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• If certified through ARRT, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) certification/registry is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide MRI services to patients for diagnosis under the direction of the radiologist.
• Follow physician's instructions closely.
• Appropriately position patients for MRI scans.
• Prepare and operate MRI equipment.
• Accurately record the images requested.
