About The Position

The MRI Tech at Upper Valley Medical Center independently performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) utilizing proper techniques and administration of contrast media. This role works under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture. The MRI Tech coordinates patient flow and the activities of the MRI scanner, ensuring MRI safe practices are followed. The position requires exercising professional judgment in the performance of duties to maintain equipment in good working condition. Additionally, the MRI Tech may perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs and may have on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Allied Health.
• Completion of Medical Imaging Sciences with additional MRI physics coursework within 6 months of hire.
• CPR Certification required.
• ARRT RT (R) registry required.
• MRI registry preferred.
• ODH licensure preferred.

Nice To Haves

• One year MRI experience preferred.
