About The Position

Northern Nevada Medical Center is looking for a dynamic MRI Technologist! This position is per diem and offers a flexible schedule. This individual will focus on high quality service and will be the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree is preferred, but not required.
• Two years of radiological/imaging experience.
• Prefer specific experience and training in MRI.
• Must become ARRT (MR) licensed within one year of employment.
• ARRT license required.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Willing to take call/standby in MRI department and NNMC as needed.

Responsibilities

• Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shields patients accordingly.
• Able to assess patient pain/claustrophobia interfering with imaging procedure - makes appropriate physician contact for intervention.
• Performs MRI safety check on all patient and staff prior to entering the MRI room according to policy.
• Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of burns and to patients.
