About The Position

The MRI Tech will independently perform magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) utilizing proper techniques and administration of contrast media. The role requires working under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture. The MRI Tech will coordinate patient flow and the activities of the MRI scanner, ensuring MRI safe practices are followed. Professional judgment is exercised in the performance of duties to maintain equipment in good working condition. The position may also involve performing procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs and may include on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Allied Health.
• Completion of Medical Imaging Sciences with additional MRI physics coursework within 6 months of hire.
• CPR Certification required.
• ARRT RT (R) or ARMRIT registry required.
• MRI registry preferred.
• ODH licensure preferred.

Nice To Haves

• One year MRI experience preferred.
