About The Position

The MRI Tech independently performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) utilizing proper techniques and administration of contrast media. The role involves working under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture. The MRI Tech coordinates patient flow and the activities of the MRI scanner including MRI safe practices. They exercise professional judgment in the performance of their duties to maintain equipment in good working condition. The position may require performing procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs and may include on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Allied Health.
• Completion of Medical Imaging Sciences with additional MRI physics coursework within 6 months of hire.
• CPR Certification required.
• ARRT RT (R) registry or ARMRIT registry required.
• MRI registry preferred.
• ODH licensure preferred.
• No prior job-related work experience required.

Nice To Haves

• One year MRI experience preferred.
