About The Position

The position involves independently performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) utilizing proper techniques and the administration of contrast media. The individual will work under their scope of practice and in accordance with their certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture. Responsibilities include coordinating patient flow and the activities of the MRI scanner while adhering to MRI safe practices. The role requires exercising professional judgment to maintain equipment in good working condition and may involve performing procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs. Additionally, there may be on-call responsibilities associated with this position.

Requirements

• Diploma in Allied Health with a focus on Medical Imaging Sciences including MRI physics coursework (to be completed within 6 months of hire).
• CPR Certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ARRT RT (R) registry or ARMRIT registry required.
• MRI registry preferred.
• ODH licensure preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree or graduate of an accredited program in Medical Imaging Sciences.
• Currently enrolled in a multi-modality program with board certification in MRI.
• One year of MRI experience preferred.
