About The Position

Weekend MRI Tech Assistant - Baptist Health Eastpoint Location Part Time, 24-28 hours a week, day shifts. No call or holidays. Additional Premium incentive during eligible weekend hours. The MRI Assistant supports MRI technologists by transporting patients, cleaning rooms, and stocking supplies and linens. They also learn to perform MRI tech duties. Key responsibilities include setting up exam rooms, assisting patients into the exam room, cleaning rooms after exams, and stocking clean linen while disposing of dirty linen. The MRI Assistant also helps obtain patient histories and documents them in Epic, assists patients during procedures, and supports the Radiology Nurse in Triage with patient monitoring duties. They transport patients, document the release of medical records in the EHR, and complete procedure documentation in Epic for MRI exams. Additionally, the MRI Assistant learns MRI duties, assists with other procedures as needed, and performs additional duties as required.
