MRI Tech Aide- Full time

About The Position

• Completes and signs necessary forms and explains the procedure to the patient. • Maintains patient care, comfort, and safety during transport to and from the coach and the exam. • Maintains technical competency through continued education. • Cooperates with facility healthcare personnel and complies with facility policies and procedures. • May assist with the setup and tear down of equipment following SMS and/or manufacturers’ guidelines. • Maintains a clean environment inside and outside of the facility. • Completes all necessary administrative tasks. • Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality. • Complies with all safety policies and regulations. • Performs additional duties as required.

Requirements

  • Must be able to safely enter and work in MRI Zones III and IV in accordance with MRI safety guidelines.
  • Knowledge of human anatomy.
  • Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work.
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an MRI Tech. 2 years medical assistant or imaging assistant
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong customer service.
  • Strong attention-to-detail.
  • Lift and position patients for the type of MRI procedure required.
  • Keep and maintain records.

Nice To Haves

  • Radiographer certification preferred.
  • IV experience preferred
