About The Position

Under the general direction of the Radiology Director and Radiology Medical Director, the MRI Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervising activities in the assigned service area(s) of accountability, which relates to Diagnostic Radiology and Mammography procedures. The supervisor prepares schedules for the assigned staff, participates in interviews, performs employee evaluations, and ensures customer service standards are maintained. The role also involves ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and taking call when necessary.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Minimum of five (5) years work-related experience in a radiology modality.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
  • American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) certification.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to follow verbal and written directions accurately.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional certification in mammography (ARRT (M)).
  • Knowledge of Radiology operations (inpatient and outpatient).
  • Experience with various diagnostic imaging units and clinical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise activities in the assigned service area(s) of accountability.
  • Prepare schedules for assigned staff and participate in interviews for technical and clerical positions.
  • Perform employee evaluations and present evaluations to employees.
  • Ensure customer service standards are maintained in the department.
  • Assure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Take call when necessary to ensure coverage of the assigned area.
