Under the general direction of the Radiology Director and Radiology Medical Director, is responsible for coordinating and supervising activities (technical operations, personnel management, quality control and financial management) in the assigned service area(s) of accountability. The area of accountability relates to Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures/service area with an additional assignment of responsibility as determined by the Radiology Administrative Director. The supervisor prepares schedules for the assigned staff and participates in interviews with candidates for technical and assistant positions. Performs employee evaluations for assigned staff and in concert with the Director presents evaluations to employees. Insures that customer service standards are maintained in the department at all times including ability to proactively intervene in situations of those not directly involved in assigned area. Assures that areas functions in accordance with all local, state and federal regulations including certification requirements. Takes call when necessary to insure that assigned area is covered. Participates in shared administrative call for the department as a whole.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Minimum of five (5) years work related experience in a radiology modality.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
  • American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) (MR) certification.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem solving skills and ability to follow verbal and written directions accurately.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Radiology operations (inpatient and outpatient).
  • Experience with various diagnostic imaging units and clinical equipment.

Responsibilities
