About the position

We are seeking a skilled MRI/Multimodality Technologist to join our team in Superior, NE. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience as an MRI/Radiologic Technologist, be ARRT registered, and hold a Nebraska Radiographer license. In addition, the candidate must be willing to cross train in other modalities to provide comprehensive imaging services to our patients. The responsibilities of the MRI/Multimodality Technologist include performing MRI scans, operating imaging equipment, preparing patients for procedures, and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients throughout the imaging process. The technologist will also be responsible for maintaining accurate patient records, following safety protocols, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. Responsibilities

  • Assist with pulling data from different hospital systems for reporting.
  • Must be able to work in the MRI environment and be cleared of any medical magnetic implants.
  • Perform Patient screenings.
  • Look up implants for MRI Safety.
  • Perform QC Tests.
  • Obtain any informed consent and check to be sure insurance authorization has been completed.
  • Positions patient on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of body requested by physician.
  • Responsible for transmitting exams into PACs, editing exams, and resolving quality assurance issues within the PACs system related to the exams they are performing.
  • Views images that are taken and determines whether or not they are of optimum quality for radiologist's interpretation.
  • Clarifies nurses' questions about patient orders for exams, preps for particular exams, and organizes stat work.
  • Obtains stat readings as designated by exam from the radiologist and relays the information to the nurse or doctor via telephone or computer.
  • Maintains Diagnostic Imaging services in accordance with standards established by the hospital and with state, local and federal standards which may apply.
  • Responsible for retention and destruction of departmental and patient records.
  • Abides by the policies and procedures of the facility. Standards of conduct in the Compliance Plan and participates in ongoing monitoring of activities with respect to compliance.
  • Attends and participates in departmental meetings / in-services, Brodstone Healthcare quality improvement program, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree: Radiologic Technology or a related field, with specialized training in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), from an accredited institution (Required)
  • 2 years' experience (required)
  • MRI/Radiologic Technologist
  • ARRT registered
  • Nebraska Radiographer license
  • Willing to cross train in other modalities

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging with a Specialization in Magnetic Resonance Imaging MRI (Preferred)
